Plate Halo | Adapt to Perform

Overview

The weight plate halo is an exercise that targets the muscles of the shoulders, upper back, and arms. It involves holding a weight plate with both hands and moving it in a circular motion around your head, resembling a halo, hence the name. This exercise helps improve shoulder mobility, stability, and strength.

Description

Let's get started by grabbing your weight plate and having it on your lap.

This is the starting position.

From here, lift the plate off your lap, up and over one shoulder and around the back of your head, then lower the plate back down to the starting position. Now repeat the movement in the opposite direction. This is one repetition, now repeat this for the desired amount.

You can change the intensity of this exercise by increasing or decreasing the weight of the weight plate.
