The Dumbbell Floor Tricep Extension is a resistance exercise that primarily targets the triceps, the muscles on the back of your upper arms. This exercise is a combination of the traditional dumbbell floor press and a tricep extension movement. By performing it on the floor, you can limit shoulder strain and focus on isolating the triceps effectively.
Let's start by lying on the floor. Grab your dumbbells and have them resting on the floor above your head, with your elbows pointed to the sky. Have your palms facing each other.
This is the starting position.
From here, lift the weights off the floor by extending at the elbows. Keep going until your arms are fully extended. Then, bring the weights carefully back to the starting position. This is one repetition, now repeat for the desired amount.
If you have limited gripping ability try using the Active Hands Gripping Aids to make this exercise as safe as possible.
