Breaststroke Arms

Overview

Land swimming is a form of exercise and movement that mimics the motions of swimming while on dry land. It is typically performed as a cardiovascular workout and can be an effective way to improve swimming technique, endurance, and overall fitness. Land swimming is especially beneficial for individuals who may not have access to a pool or prefer a low-impact exercise option.

Description

First, Hold both together in front of your chest with a bend in your elbow.

This is the starting position.

From here, press both hands forward as far as you can, then separate them and circle them out and around before bringing them back to the starting position. Then repeat and continue the exercise for the allotted time. You can increase the difficulty by using wrist weights.

Benefits

  • Improved Respiratory Function: Cardio strengthens your lungs and diaphragm, enhancing breathing efficiency and promoting better overall respiratory health.
  • Increased Endurance: Regular cardio training improves your stamina and endurance, allowing you to engage in physical activities for longer periods without feeling fatigued.
  • Mood Enhancement: Cardiovascular exercise triggers the release of endorphins, the "feel-good" hormones, which can help reduce stress, anxiety, and improve overall mood and mental well-being.
