Barbell Close Grip Curl

Overview

A Barbell Close Grip Curl is a variation of a bicep curl is a popular resistance exercise that primarily targets the biceps, which are the muscles located at the front of the upper arm. It is a fundamental exercise in strength training and bodybuilding routines to build and sculpt the biceps.

Description

Let's get started by grabbing the barbell as close as possible, with an underhand grip, keeping it stable in your hands and resting it on your lap with a bend in your elbows.

This is the starting position.

From here, we are going to bring the bar up to your shoulders by flexing at the elbow. Once done, return the bar back down safely to your lap. This is one repetition, now repeat for the desired amount.

If you have limited gripping ability try using the Active Hands Gripping Aids to make this exercise as safe as possible.
