Backstroke Arms

Overview

Land swimming is a form of exercise and movement that mimics the motions of swimming while on dry land. It is typically performed as a cardiovascular workout and can be an effective way to improve swimming technique, endurance, and overall fitness. Land swimming is especially beneficial for individuals who may not have access to a pool or prefer a low-impact exercise option.

Description

First, Hold both arms down by your side with a slight bend in your elbow.

This is the starting position.

From here, swing one arm forward, up and over your head or as far as you can. Once at the top swing it around and behind you, as you do so do the same with the other arm so that as you continue to move your arms they are in opposite positions. Then repeat and continue the exercise for the allotted time. You can increase the difficulty by using wrist weights.
